Genel Jeolojisi
: Afyon' un 85 km. güneybatısındaki hafif engebeli yamaçlarda ve alüvyon bir düzlükte kurulmuştur. Kuvaterner yaşlı alüvyon kil, kum ve çakıldan ibarettir. Kuzeyde Eosen yaşlı kireçtaşı ve kumtaşlarına, doğu ve güneyde ise Jura-Kretase yaşlı kireçtaşı ve killi şistlere rastlanılmaktadır. Yeraltı suyu 1.5-3 m. derinliktedir (Tabban, 1980).General Geology: The town is located 85 km SW of Afyon with a slight slope on aluvial deposite. Aluvial which is Quaternary aged compose of clay, sand and gravel. Eosen aged limestone and sandstone are in north, Jura-Creatase aged limestone and clayey schist are in east and south. The groundwater level is 1.5 - 3.0m ( Tabban, 1980).
